Staind soon acquired a concert slot where they impressed Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit. The group self-released its debut album in November 1996 entitled “Tormented.” Staind began their career by playing covers of other bands such as Alice in Chains, Tool, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, and Korn. The current lineup consists of Aaron Lewis (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Mike Mushok (lead guitar), Johnny April (bass and backing vocals), and Sal Giancarelli (drums). Staind is a rock band formed in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1995.
